Migrant Farmworker Women Draw Strength from Each Other to Fight Machismo Culture

Did you know that, according to the Migration Policy Institute, there are 3 million undocumented workers in the state of California alone and that half of them are women, mostly from Central America and Mexico? Did you know that they play a critical role in the U.S. food economy while enduring poverty and abuse? The women of Sonoma County vineyards however, are not having it. They are taking their livelihoods into their own hands by supporting and advocating for each other to create safe communities.
